Photography > Immaculate Memory
"Immaculate Memory", completed 2005-08, is based on deliberate investigation of the elusive boundaries between the human body, psyche and memory. For this project, I researched and underwent mind-body therapies in an attempt to retrieve memories and emotions stored in my body and subconscious. Resourcing the mind-body experience, the artwork in "Immaculate Memory" consists of studio-based analog imagery collaged with digital photographs and uses the flatbed scanner as camera to combine 2- & 3-dimensional objects in 20 photographs and 2 accordion-fold books. The images and artist’s books symbolize a track of healing experienced in mind & body during the time of research.
